Susan graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1984 & soon after commenced working in the field of Hand Therapy.

She spent many years as Therapist in-charge of the Hand & Microsurgery Unit at RNSH before establishing North Shore Hand Therapy as a private practice in 1992.

Susan is an Accredited Hand Therapist & is actively involved with the Australian Hand Therapy Association, she is currently one of the State Co-ordinators responsible for the ongoing education & professional support for hand therapists in NSW

Clancy Kemety

Advanced Practitioner of Hand Therapy

Clancy is a certified Hand Therapist (USA), an Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the AHTA and a Qualified Physiotherapist (USYD). She is also a State coordinator for the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

Prior to North Shore Hand Therapy, Clancy worked at North Shore Public Hospital where she completed the Physiotherapy Hand Training Programme in 1998. Clancy has also worked at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, The Penrith Hand Clinic, Hirondelle Private Hospital, Tumut Hospital and HamondCare Greenwich Hospital.

 

Joanna Davis

Joanna graduated from The University of Southampton in the UK with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Physiotherapy in 1998. She worked in a large burns and plastics hospital in Salisbury and quickly became involved in the treatment of Hand Therapy patients. Joanna moved to Australia in 2002 and has been working here as a hand therapist ever since.

Joanna is a Certified Hand Therapist as awarded by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission and is also an Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

 

 

Victoria Tricardos

Practitioner of Hand Therapy

Victoria graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2001. Victoria has worked extensively in a Public Hospital Hand Centre in South Western Sydney as a Senior Hand Therapist and Team Leader. She has also worked for a short time at the Sydney Hospital Hand Unit. She joined the team at North Shore Hand Therapy in 2017.  

Victoria became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2007 and is an Accredited Hand Therapist. She is actively involved with the Australian Hand Therapy Association and is currently teaching the Introduction To Hand Therapy Course for the AHTA. Victoria enjoys all aspects of hand therapy practice and finds hand trauma particularly interesting and rewarding. 

In her spare time Victoria enjoys time with her family, walking and traveling.

Katie Shipp

Katie graduated from The Australian Catholic University, with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) in 2014. She worked at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) as a graduate and rotating physiotherapist, gaining experience in the Hand & Peripheral Nerve Surgery Unit. Katie subsequently completed the RNSH Hand Fellowship in 2018, before joining North Shore Hand Therapy.

Katie became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2020 and is also an Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

Allegra Barnes

Allegra graduated from the University of Sydney in 2015 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) Honours. As a new graduate physiotherapist Allegra worked at the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) and then in a rotating position where she gained experience working in the Hand and Peripheral Nerve Surgery Unit.

Allegra has been working at North Shore Hand Therapy since 2020 and continues to work at RNSH one day a week in the outpatient Orthopaedic and Hand Clinics.

Allegra is a Certified Hand Therapist as awarded by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission and is also an Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

 

Carol Chow

Carol graduated from The University of Sydney with a Master of Physiotherapy in 2012. She began working in Hand therapy in 2017 at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Hand Unit. She has since worked at several public hospital hand clinics as Senior Hand therapist. She joined North Shore Hand Therapy in 2021.

Carol is a Certified Hand Therapist as awarded by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission and is also an Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

 

Rachel Kelly

Rachel graduated from the National University of Ireland Galway with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2018.  She worked in Ireland as an Occupational Therapist for 4 years before moving to Australia.  

Prior to North Shore Hand Therapy she worked in the National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh in Dublin where her main areas of work included inpatient orthopaedics, pre-assessment clinic for elective orthopaedic surgery, paediatric limb reconstruction, and hand therapy. 

Yoke Low

Yoke graduated from the University of South Australia in Bsc in Physiotherapy in 1994. She continued her education in Master in Physiotherapy at the same university in 1998 specialising in Sports Physiotherapy.  In 2002 she managed to fulfill the criteria needed to become a titled Sport Physiotherapist given by the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

She has been mainly working for a long time in musculoskeletal and sports injuries in private practices before specialising in Hand Therapy. She became an Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association in 2017. She had worked 3 years full time as a Hand Therapist in Auckland and became a Registered Hand Therapist (New Zealand) in 2019.

She is still very passionate about sports and a real soccer mum training her teenage son.

Steph graduated from Curtin University in Perth with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) (Honours) in early 2022. She worked in a private practice hand therapy clinic following this.
 
Steph joined the North Shore Hand Therapy team in early 2025. She is an associate member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association and enjoys engaging in regular professional development. 
 
Steph is passionate about assisting people to rehabilitate and to return to their meaningful activities following an upper limb injury or condition. In her spare time, she enjoys surfing, going for long walks and drinking coffee.
Bree Saetta

Bree is an Accredited Hand Therapist since early 2025, providing specialised hand therapy to patients across St Leonards, Bondi Junction and Randwick. 

Bree started specialising in hand therapy in 2021, following earlier experience working alongside hand surgeons in Newcastle and the Gold Coast. She has extensive experience in managing acute injuries, fractures, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome. 

She works closely with local hand surgeons in Bondi Junction and Randwick, and maintains a strong referral base from local GPs to ensure seamless, multidisciplinary care that supports each patient’s recovery.

Bree is committed to ongoing professional development, regularly attending the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA) Annual Conference and completing AHTA CPD courses to stay current with the latest research in hand therapy. 

Bree finds hand therapy especially rewarding for its ability to restore function and help patients return to meaningful activities, whether that’s work, sport, or daily life.

Brooke Plummer

Brooke joined both our teams at Bondi Junction and North Shore during 2025, with many years of experience in administration and customer service. 

Brooke is our friendly face at the front desk and a bubbly voice over the phone assisting our patients with their hand therapy journey and assisting all team members with efficiency and professionalism

Clare Maple-Brown

Practice Owner

Clare graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2000 and worked at The Prince of Wales Hospital as a graduate.  There she found her love of Hand Therapy and then proceeded to work in various private practices in Sydney and also in the NHS in the UK. She founded Bondi Junction Hand Therapy in 2010 and acquired the ownership of North Shore Hand Therapy in 2023.

Clare is passionate about building a team culture of excellence, empathy and collaboration.  She now dedicates her time to her staff and three children and is not available for patient bookings.

She holds the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and is currently a Board Member of the Maple-Brown Family Foundation (delete St Judes)
  • Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association and Certified Hand Therapist as awarded by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (USA)
  • Member of Philanthropy Australia and the Australian Physiotherapy Association
  • Registered Physiotherapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
