Laura completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland after growing up and attending school in Ireland. She gained experience across a range of clinical settings before discovering her passion for Hand Therapy while working at St George’s University Hospital in London. She managed a wide variety of acute and traumatic hand injuries and thrived in the fast-paced, highly collaborative learning environment.

Since relocating to Australia Laura has continued her interest in Hand Therapy. Laura is an Associate Member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA) and she is working towards obtaining her Accredited Hand Therapist award. Outside of the clinic, Laura enjoys exploring Sydney’s café and brunch scene, embracing the beach lifestyle and travelling across Australia and this side of the world.

 

Bree Saetta

Senior Occupational Therapist

Accredited Hand Therapist

Bree is an Accredited Hand Therapist based at Bondi Junction Hand Therapy since early 2025, providing specialised hand therapy to patients across Bondi Junction and Randwick.

Bree started specialising in hand therapy in 2021, following earlier experience working alongside hand surgeons in Newcastle and the Gold Coast. She has extensive experience in managing acute injuries, fractures, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome.

She works closely with local hand surgeons in Bondi Junction and Randwick, and maintains a strong referral base from local GPs to ensure seamless, multidisciplinary care that supports each patient’s recovery.

Bree is committed to ongoing professional development, regularly attending the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA) Annual Conference and completing AHTA CPD courses to stay current with the latest research in hand therapy.

Bree finds hand therapy especially rewarding for its ability to restore function and help patients return to meaningful activities, whether that’s work, sport, or daily life.

Lucy Howe

Operations Manager

With a strong commitment to professionalism, care, and client-focused service, Lucy brings years of experience in healthcare administration and clinic operations. Known for her approachable nature and attention to detail, she is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where patients feel supported and valued.
Lucy combines excellent organisational skills with a warm and professional approach, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining high standards of patient care and communication. Her dedication to efficiency, teamwork, and personalised service makes her a trusted and respected part of the practice.
Outside of work, Lucy enjoys learning languages, travelling , and writing a book about Food, family and friends.

Catherine Northover

General Manager

Catherine has spent more than two decades helping healthcare practices become great places to work and receive care. With a background spanning pharmacy ownership, general practice and allied health management, she enjoys creating environments where teams can thrive and patients feel genuinely welcomed.
Known for her practical approach and collaborative leadership style, Catherine is passionate about improving systems, supporting people to do their best work and ensuring every patient experience reflects the values of the clinic.
In her spare time, Catherine can usually be found at the beach, doing yoga, running, boating or spending time with her two boys.

Clare Maple-Brown

Practice Owner

Clare graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2000 and worked at The Prince of Wales Hospital as a graduate.  She then found her love of Hand Therapy and worked in various private practices in Sydney and also in the NHS in the UK before founding Bondi Junction Hand Therapy in 2010.

She holds the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and is currently a Board Member of the Maple-Brown Family Foundation and St Jude’s Early Learning
  • Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association and Certified Hand Therapist as awarded by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (USA)
  • Member of Philanthropy Australia and the Australian Physiotherapy Association
  • Registered Physiotherapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
